Oriental Cole Slaw

  • 1 pkg of coleslaw mix
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 2 pkgs chicken ramen noodles
  • 1 cup sunflower kernels
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup slivered almonds

Mix coleslaw mix, green onions and the 2 pkgs of the ramen noodles, broken up. Take the 2 pkgs of chicken flavor that came in the noodles and mix with the sugar, vinegar and oil. Pour over the coleslaw mix and refrigerate for at least 2 hours after you have blended the ingredients well. Just before serving, add the almonds and sunflower kernels. If desired you can toast these in a little butter before adding. The flavor is excellent.

Happy Cooking,
