This Sunday's ride(Aug. 19) will be our Apison Elementary 'left' loop which takes us over to Tunnel Hill Rd. The route is about 26 miles. It's a nice loop with a few good rollers. Tunnel Hill Rd. is a nice roller coaster road. We’ll also have a shorter, 18 mile loop with a pretty good hill right in the middle.
To get there from I-75, take E. Brainerd away from Brainerd Rd. It will go from 4 lanes to 2…keep going. You will come to a traffic light at Ooltewah-Ringgold Rd. Go straight thru. The school is 3 miles ahead on the left.
Our rides are for most levels of road riding: we ask that you have a road bike and be able to complete your chosen route without stopping, at a average of 12-14 mph.
One of us from the shop will be a Caboose Boy and ride as fast as the slowest rider wants to ride. We try never to drop anyone, but cannot be responsible if you do not choose to take a map.
Maps will be provided
PLEASE stick to the chosen routes. We've had a few issues with newer riders following more experienced riders wanting to do their own routes, then the beginner gets lost.
Helmets are required.
You will be riding at your own risk.
Please make sure to have 2 water bottles with you.
We meet at 4:45 and ride out at 5
