3-State 3-Mountain
2006 Ride Results

The 2006 3-State 3-Mountain Challenge was even bigger and more successful than any we have had. The weather was beautiful.  With over 2000 participants and 2000 registered riders it set all records for us. Even with this huge jump in the number of participants allowed, we had to turn away folks wanting to register - and that really hurt. What a great time! And what wonderful participants. The sight of cyclists stretching as far as you could see was something to behold. And we continue to find more great advantages of Finley Stadium. I didn't think there could be a better venue than the pavilion but Finley Stadium may actually be better. And having some folks specifically in charge of the Expo certainly beefed it up a notch. What fun! It is truly an event in itself.

Thanks to all who helped make this event possible. We couldn't do it without every one of you. The City of Chattanooga was absolutely wonderful with their support. We had the cones put out at the end but the crossing guards were a gift from the city. What a wonderful way to say 'Welcome to Chattanooga'. They were there supporting us all along the way. I believe we are having more folks stay in Chattanooga longer and bringing their families. What a great welcome to the city.

Note: These results are not exact. They are the best we could figure out. This is not a race so exact accuracy is not a high priority. But we know that folks like to compare how they do from year to year so we do our best. When riders came in as a group and didn't display their numbers or check back in, we may have missed some. When you don't give us the route you were on, we have to guess. Also we had a few duplicate numbers recorded and don't know what the error was. If anyone didn't get their patch and would like one, just contact Daisy so she can get your one. So please help us out. If you see information that you know is incorrect and can help us find the correct information, please email Daisy at DaisyBRider@cs.com.

Thanks to the Birds Eye View, photos from Suck Creek Mountain and on Hwy 41 are available at their web site www.birdseyeview.net. They are listed by time and include instructions on how to purchase. Steve Thomas, one of our members,  has taken some great candid shots from the start and various places on the course. I will be putting a sampling of them out on this site, tip.photostockplus.com, however you can visit his site for a complete view of all the pictures and order them from there.  Michael Lane has also taken so great pictures of the event - especially hanging around the Stadium after he returned from the metric. If anyone has any pictures of the ride and can send them to me, we would love to include them on this site.

Results are still under construction and will be added as built. I am heading out on vacation this week so will be a little behind with the results. I'll get them posted as soon as I can.

Remember, this is all in fun. The object is to enjoy the ride. Congratulations! to all who survived
the 3-State 3-Mountain Challenge!
